arrived in london on sunday, im absolutely loving it, especially due to the kindness of people. I went to the bank today to simply sort out a bank account, the guy ended up helping me sort out my life, giving me a list of good and bad suburbs to live in or avoid, and a list of “fun stuff” to see and do in the city. I always appreciate it when people help out in ways they aren’t obligated to. Such a lovely person :) on the day I arrived too, I had a random man at Putney Bridge tube station help me carry my suitcase down the 3 flights of stairs whilst he also carried his daughter. So so nice of him, I would have struggled so much without his help!
In other news, i start training for my job on Thursday, and move in to shared housing next weekend. i checked out the house today, its 3 storeys with beds for 10 people, and is just pure epic! It’s impossible to explain how excited I am about life!! :))
got offered work at the olympics. I really want to go but the dates clash with Tomorrowland. And also with the time I was supposed to spend travelling Europe with the family.. And my flight home is on the 8th of august so I’d have to extend that… But it’s the olympics and i’m pretty sure this opportunity will never come around again.. then again, family holidays are also pretty rare :/ damn ittttt either way I lose.
blarhhhhhhhhh
but yeah so i’m flying to london on saturday and i’m quite excited!!! haven’t started packing yet, should probably get onto that.
P.s if anyone’s keen on working at the Olympics contact the UK Working Holiday Club, you have to be a member and then they’ll probably send you an email about it but applications close March 20th. :)
Theres also this company: http://www.lolaevents.co.uk/recruitment-2012/register-to-work/ (you’re welcome ;))
yeah i believe in believing the skys the limit
have a look and you’ll see me up there flying in it
it’s a nice view, sometimes you might lose
but understand when you fall you can fly toodon’t let anybody tell you what you can’t do
dont’ let them enter in your head because they aren’t you
and understand you could have anything you want
if you put the effort in to remember what you’ve got

“And me, I still believe in paradise. But now at least I know it’s not some place you can look for, ‘cause it’s not where you go. It’s how you feel for a moment in your life when you’re a part of something, and if you find that moment… it lasts forever… “
Back in Melbourne after having the absolute time of my life on a contiki tour in Thailand. I’m not exaggerating when I say that these past 10 days were the best of my entire life and I will recommend Contiki until I die. The people were awesome, accommodation was heaps better than I expected, it was all very well-organised and blahh everything was perfect. I’m so shattered to be back in Melbourne. It’s cold and raining and not at all like Thailand. Wish I was still there :((
Take me back, take me back
back to summer paradise ♥
